Reclaim Europe for the People

Catalonia's Autonomous Government does not want Israeli Ambassador in Spain to publish Judeophobe attacks

During Israel's Cast Lead operation in Gaza there were several judeophobe attacks in Europe. In Spain, some of them happened in Catalonia. So, Israeli ambassador in Spain called Mr. Montilla, Catalonia's Autonomous President to demand an statement rejecting those attacks, specially the judeophobic graffities they wrote in a sinagoge in Barcelona (you know, the usual crap: broken windows, "murderers" written in the walls, etc.). But Montilla is not happy with it. He has not only rejected making any kind of statement against those attacks, but has denied their existence at all. And:

After denying the truth and not condemning the judeophobic attacks, Montilla has asked the Ambassador not to publish any of those "incidents", but to tell them to the Generalitat (that is, Catalonia's Autonomous Government), whose responsibility is the security of all citizens, including, of course, those of the Jewish community".

Isn't it truly marvellous? He is angry not because there were actually Anti-Semitic/Judeophobic attacks in Catalonia, but because the Israeli Ambassador complained publicly about them!!! So everyone could know they have actually happened.

Wow, speaking of an explosive mixture! This sounds complicated, but are the broad lines not the same? Nationalism is nothing but a collective based on national identity. It excludes everyone else admittedly, which just makes it perhaps a trifle nastier than other collectives based, say on social class. I cannot believe a reversal like that is possible, but look at Islam! They're harking back to the Middle Ages.

Catalonia has a very difficult situation these days because of Catalan nationalism. They are devoting huge quantities of resources towards an-only-Catalan state and if you have other ideas, then you're banish from politics and from society. They are just doing in other matters the same they have done to the Israeli Ambassador: I don't like what you say, so shut up and, in case you're aware of those facts, just tell it in very low voice...

This is rather typical of the Postmodern 'enlightened' and it shows their obscurantist roots. Their main ethics being "make love, not war" any hush-up and cover-up is better than having to take measures that could trigger violence on the part of the aggressors: so appease, appease, appease. This is how the evil of fascism started and spread. They have a flat-lining learning curve!

New discoveries refuting earlier evidence

Since a later discovery rests hierarchically on the earlier evidence it cannot contradict it. So this does not happen. New knowledge builds on old evidence. It is never radically different in essence. The contradiction only seems to take place because the context is dropped. Continue

The precursors of censorship

There's quite a bit of confusion about what constitutes "hate speech". To Muslims and Obama supporters ANY criticism is inciting hatred. There have been indications during the US Presidential elections of Democrats trying to criminalize critics, making an equivocation that loosely runs: criticism = lies = libel = criminal.
Muslim groups (OIC) within the UN are pushing resolutions that equivocate:  criticism = Isl… Continue

Is for Ought, Intent for Effect

As in Hume's Law (confusing what Is, with what it Ought To Be) we here have the latest mix up: people confusing their intention with the effect of their actions: a result of the fallacy that thought creates reality. I intended to do X, so if you conclude that the effect of my actions is Y, this cannot be true, and it's just your personal opinion (since objective truth does not exist, and my intent was X).
